In January, schools in 12 districts across the state, including Lincoln Parish, will begin piloting the implementation of Act 54.

This new program will base 50 percent of every teacher’s evaluation on student performance, specifically growth on high-stakes testing. The news that the plan has been approved by state lawmakers has resulted in various opinions across the state.
