OMV deal appears good

Fees bring in sufficient revenue to parish so far
Lincoln Parish Office of Motor Vehicles employee Alisha Middleton adds a Hazmat certification to the CDL license of Billy Moore, of Arcadia. The vast majority of transactions at the OMV include a $3 service fee.

After a few months of being housed in the old County Market building, the Lincoln Parish Office of Motor Vehicles appears to be bringing in sufficient funds to pay the Lincoln Parish Police Jury for use of the space.

OMV customers are charged a $3 service fee for most transactions.

The Lincoln Parish Police Jury, which owns the building, approved the cooperative endeavor agreement with the Louisiana OMV during their monthly meeting in August to allow the office to be moved from its former location on Louisiana Highway 33 to its present location across from the courthouse.
