Boy Scouts honor Native American culture

Ruston Cubs participate in interactive, traditional Pow Wow

Scouts were selected from the audience to participate in the drumming and singing.

The Boy Scouts of America’s Order of the Arrow performed a traditional Pow Wow recently for Ruston’s Cub Scout Pack 59.

Decked out in traditional Native American apparel, the scouts put on the Pow Wow event for friends and family.

“The event was very interactive, informative and entertaining,” said Olitsa Robbins, Pack 59 Webelos I den leader. “I am always impressed with the dedication and performance of these young men.”
