A Choudrant man was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly stole two expensive pieces of equipment from a business.

Everette Lamond Harris, 25, of 221 East Jones Street, was booked into the Lincoln Parish Detention Center on a charge of simple burglary.

Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Maj. Stephen Williams said Rafford Farms in Choudrant reported that two dies, a type of equipment reportedly valued at $10,000 each, were stolen out of a storage supply building at the feed mill. He said each of the dies is estimated to weigh about 1,500 pounds a piece.
