Howl’oween draws crowd
Downtown Ruston was a spooktacular place to be on Monday night as little princesses, vampires and superheroes flooded local businesses to ask for a Halloween treat.
The second annual Downtown Howl’oween event drew hundreds of families to the downtown area for trick-or-treating and a Halloween pet costume contest.
Kristi Lumpkin, city of Ruston economic development administrator, said she was excited by the turnout.
“There are lots of kids all dressed up and they’re enjoying the activities,” Lumpkin said. “We’ve tried to include more this year, and so far we’re extremely pleased.”
