For the second year in a row, Lincoln Parish School System ranked in the Top 10 districts based on percentage of schools meeting their school performance growth targets.

On a less happy note, when letter grades were passed out, the parish as a whole received a C, and no parish public schools received an A, though Ruston High School was only two tenths of a point away from the minimum A score.

The school system overall did improve by 1.5 points, though the ranking in the state slipped down two spots from No. 21 in 2009-10 to No. 23 — tied with Winn Parish — for the 2010-11 school year.
