Grambling will apply for $850,000 bond issue for recreation center renovation

The first one gave approval to a request from Mayor Martha Andrus to incur debt and issue bonds not to exceed $850,000 for renovation of the Grambling Recreational Center which has been closed for several years due to a fire and the second enacted an ordinance requiring “BYOB” (Bring Your Own Bottle) clubs to be licensed by both the city and the state.
The bonds for the renovation of the recreational center will be retired by the proceeds of ad valorem taxes that were re-aligned with voter approval in January.
