The NCTE Achievement Awards in Writing is a school-based writing program established in 1957 to encourage high school students in their writing and to encourage some of the best student writers in the nation. This year, Will Rudnicki has been selected for superior performance in writing for his pieces titled “13.1 memories” and “The World That Built Me.” Will is one of only five students in Louisiana to be chosen for this honor.
First grade at Cedar Creek School is coming to an end. We have been reviewing two-digit addition and subtraction, having fun with graphs, fractions, detailed story writing, reading chapter books, learning how seeds grow and much more!
We have also been practicing for the first grade circus and picnic at Squire Creek Park. We’ve made many cherished memories, and are looking forward to what second grade has in store.
