Temporary buildings ruled unsafe
Bell said the problems noted by the deputy fire marshal, Lloyd Peters, did not seem to him to warrant closing the temporary buildings.
“I’m learning a lot about code as we go along, but I really don’t understand some of their reasoning,” Bell said.
Gravel was placed at the foot of steps leading to temporary buildings and at the doorway leading from the rear of the main school building to the school grounds.
Bell said the gravel was placed to keep students from tracking in mud to their classrooms and to take better care of the students’ shoes.
