Piney Hills Harmony Chorus of Sweet Adelines will offer two "Harmony Happy Hour" guest nights at 6 p.m. Thursday and May 9, in the fellowship hall of the Presbyterian Church of Ruston.
Director Sheila Nugent said the guest nights are the perfect time for area women to see what the chorus is so excited to share: "Come visit, and let us introduce you to the wonderful world of four-part harmony a cappella music, barbershop style."
Sisters Tatum Brasher and Kimley Brasher gave the neighborhood a reason to enjoy the summer heat with their refreshing lemonade for 25 cents a cup. The girls will use the proceeds from their lemonade stand on Carriage Way to help build a well in an African Village. Four thousand children die each day in Africa due to lack of safe drinking water.
