The Bearcats will be trying to bounce back from a 42-14 loss to Shreveport Byrd last weekend.

It’s back to the drawing board for Lincoln Parish’s high school football programs.
Ruston, Grambling and Cedar Creek all dropped games last weekend and now look to regroup for the fifth Friday night of the Louisiana High School Athletic Association’s 2011 season.

The Bearcats (1-3) were a 42-14 victim of Shreveport Byrd, the Cougars (3-1) were edged 20-18 by Haynesville and the Kittens (1-3) were shutout 26-0 by Jonesboro-Hodge.
That RHS-Byrd final score wasn’t indicative of how close the Bearcats played the No. 6-ranked Class 5A Yellow Jackets.
