District 35 Senate race loses Brown

There are only two contenders left in the race for state Senate District 35 in the Oct. 22 elections. Republicans Bob Kostelka and Jeff Guerriero, both of Monroe, remain in the running after fellow Republican Harris Brown, also of Monroe, withdrew from the race last week.

Brown’s announcement follows an earlier report from the Associated Press that Kostelka challenged Harris’ residency qualifications.
