Problems in the 2005-06 academic year ranged from children leaving their ringers on in class to test answer swapping enabled by cell phone text messaging capabilities.

Janet Allen, whose daughter Hannah attends Ruston High School, recently confiscated her teenager’s cell phone due to excessive text messaging, which builds up large monthly bills. Hannah admits to sending 3,000 text messages in one month.
