Teen discloses story of Web addiction
Within a short period of time, Hannah was using Yahoo Messenger and Xanga to communicate with the Arkansas boy almost all day every day, and he began to call her house. Unlike the boys at school with whom she interacted face to face, Hannah said she could imagine this boy to be anyone she wanted.
“It’s like a ‘build a boyfriend’ workshop,” the Ruston High School student explained. “Real guys could not compare.”
Hannah said the first question teens generally ask the opposite sex when they meet online is “What do you like in a girl?” or “What do you like in a boy?”
