The only things larger than his sense of humor were his heart and his faith. He was a leader of many, servant to One, a loving and supportive husband and father, a grandfather and great-grandfather, a hero to some, and a friend to all.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jo Anna Canterbury of Sarepta, LA; daughter, Julie Everett and husband, Tim of Springhill, LA; sons, Jeff Canterbury and wife, Mary of Homer, LA, Joey Canterbury and wife, Diana of Haynesville, LA, Richard Canterbury and wife, Cindy of Sarepta, LA; sister, Margie Brown and husband, Dale of Sarepta, LA; eight grandchildren, Chris Canterbury, Clay Canterbury, Blake Canterbury and wife, Ashley, Patrick Canterbury and wife, Lindsey, Zachary Taylor, Hannah Everett, Lily Grace Everett, Seleta Canterbury; two great grandchildren, Emmrie Canterbury, Noah Canterbury and special friends, Smiley and Shirley Nehls.

Mr. Canterbury was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be grandsons; Dale Brown, Johnny Powell, Smiley Nehls and Bobby Gene Canterbury, honorary pallbearer.
