ACT scores rank third

Despite small decline, average still above state

District-wide ACT scores were released this week and Lincoln Parish is tied for the third highest average in the state.

Donna Doss, school improvement and accountability coordinator, said only the St. Tammany and Central Community school districts had a higher average composite score than Lincoln Parish. And, LaSalle Parish had the same average score as Lincoln.

One cause for concern was that Lincoln Parish students’ average score decreased from 21.0 for the 2009-10 school year to 20.9 for the 2010-11 school year.
