Question: I’m in my early 50s and have only recently become very interested in my retirement. Like Moses, I had to wander for almost 40 years in the wilderness before I found my calling. I have the option of paying about $15,000 into a retirement system and “buying” a few years so I can retire early. My work is intense and I’m on the verge of burnout. I like my profession, but I feel pressed to decide soon. How do I know if paying the $15,000 a good idea?
