Storms down trees, knock out power
Spokesman Jim Pesnell said approximately 200 Entergy customers lost power.
“The outages began about 4 p.m., and we had everyone back up by about 7 p.m.,” Pesnell said. “Most of the outages were caused by lightning striking fuses; we didn’t have any feeders knocked out.”
Pesnell said the main area that was affected seemed to be from Ruston to Dubach to Bernice, along U.S. 167.
“All of our damage was confined to the U.S. 167 corridor,” Pesnell said. “We had some lightning in the Choudrant area, but no damage.
