A turnaround driveway for a drive-thru at the Grambling Community Center must be widened before the town’s administrative offices and water department can move into the building.

GRAMBLING — The town of Grambling is on track to do something it’s failed to do for quite some time now — turn in an audit report on time.

That was the news Mayor Edward Jones presented to the Town Council during its monthly meeting on July 8.

The state Legislative Auditor’s Office released the town of Grambling’s 2009 fiscal year audit last March with 19 negative findings addressed by Hulsey, Harwood and Sheridan, the firm that handled the audit. That audit was the town’s third straight to receive no opinion because of incomplete records.
