Tech orientation full of ‘Presents’
I scheduled my orientation in the middle of my classes. I attended a couple of sessions so I could get advised and so I could meet my future journalism professors, but I didn’t hear all the legends about Tech. I didn’t see “Presents,” the skit the orientation leaders put on each year. I felt silly, as I always did, going to events where I have to wear a name tag and where all of the other “real” college students knew that I was new, young and didn’t know anything. Instead, I watched from my window in Harper dorm, thinking how grateful I was that I was already enrolled in college classes.
