A horse of a different color
I pulled up to the Equine Center and instantly regretted my choice in shoe apparel for the day.
(Sparkly slides plus dirt, grass, bugs, etc. equals less than carefree maneuvering.)
As I got out of my car, I ran into a friend who led me back to the shed where some women dressed in blue jeans, T-shirts and boots were at work grooming horses and shoveling stalls.
Camera and reporter’s notebook properly displayed, it wasn’t hard to pick one woman to interview.
Trista Anderson, a junior equine science major at Tech, was my first victim.
