Class reunions, time of reflection

When I told friends I was going to Ruston, Louisiana, to celebrate my 50th class reunion, some of them said “why?” “I’m never interested in a class reunion.” Oh my, I could tell them some good reasons why our reunion weekend was so important.

First is our history. Many of us went to school together from the first day of first grade.
We added people along the way, but I’d say that most of us who graduated in 1961 had gone to school with their classmates for a long time. We have a personal history with these men and women.
