Adams, Klein wed in evening ceremony

Margaret Ruth Adams, of Ruston, and Matthew Reed Klein, of Pittsburg, Pa., were married in a 6 p.m. ceremony at the Jekyll Island Club Hotel’s Crane Cottage Sunken Garden in Jekyll Island, Ga.

The honorable Chris O’Donnell officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Bill and Rhonda Jones, of Ruston, and the late Douglas Adams. She is the grand-daughter of Billie P. Adams, of Hodge, and the late William B. Adams Sr., Oleta S. Haile, of Ruston, and the late Samuel W. Haile Sr.

The groom is the son of David and Judy Klein, of Pittsburg, Pa. He is the grandson of Max Klein, of Hallandale Beach, Fla., and the late Ida Klein and Freda Wein, of Philadelphia, Pa., and the late Robert Wein.

Escorted by her stepfather Bill, the bride wore a romantic, ivory gown designed by Amsale Aberra for Christos. The gown was made of a silk point D’Esprit and had a soft A-line skirt that fell gracefully into a sweep train.  The ruched sweetheart bodice featured a delicate floral corsage accenting the waist. Her look was completed with a traditional wrist-length veil featuring a pencil edge. The bride carried a hand-held cream and white bouquet of white hydrangeas, cream vendella roses, white stock and white lisianthus tied with double-faced cream satin ribbon studded with pearls.

Nancy Adams Albin, of Spring, Texas, served as matron of honor and Katie Best Clark, of Ruston, served as a bridesmaid.

They wore a graphite silky taffeta knee-length gown with ruched V-neck bodice. The dress had navy beading at natural waist, side pockets and an A-line skirt. The bridesmaids carried hand-held bouquets of white hydrangeas and cream vendella roses wrapped in sheer gray ribbon.
Serving as the best man was Harley Adams, of Smyrna, Ga., and Matt Scott, of Durango, Colo., served as a groomsman.

Drew Harriss, of Charlotte, N.C. and Sean Albin, Spring, Texas, served as ushers for the ceremony.

Emory Margaret Albin, of Spring, Texas, served as flower girl for the ceremony.

Other participants during the ceremony were soloist Brooke Carroll of Ruston and harpist Leslie Kaufmann.

A reception was held in the couple’s honor at Crane Cottage. The Spike at the Beach band played at the reception.

On April 15 a rehearsal dinner was held at Crane Cottage Lawn above Garden. The dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents.

A tea party was held for the bride Feb. 28 at the T.L. James Big House and was hosted by numerous friends and family members — Katie Clark, Caitlin Dablow, Donna Ewing, Rosemary Ewing, Hasson Glasgow, Linda Graham, Linda Griffin, Danni Jones, Nancy Knox, Marilyn McIntosh, Haley Perot, Jenny Perot, Kate Perot, Becky Solley, Angela Talbot and Barbara Talbot

A lingerie shower was held March 12 in Atlanta, Ga., and was hosted by Katie Clark, Nancy Albin and Wendy Lewis.

A post-wedding reception was held on May 14 in Ruston, which was hosted by the bride’s parents.

The couple honeymooned in Africa, and upon returning are residing in Atlanta, Ga.
