Scott, Wall marry at Temple
Emily Anne Scott, of Jackson, Miss., and William Austin Wall, of Austin, Texas, were married on May 21 at Temple Baptist Church. The Rev. Barry Jeffries officiated the ceremony.
Emily is the daughter of Christopher and Laurie Anne Scott, of Livingston, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Phillip and Barbara Washington, of Ruston, Clint and Vernaughn Scott, of Ruston, and Rick and Judy Rushton, of Slidell.
Austin is the son of Warren and Suann Wall, of Austin, Texas. He is the grandson of Warren and Eve-Anne Wall, of Port St. Joe, Fla, Robert and Sue Craig, of Austin, Texas, and John and Cathy Conniff, of Dripping Springs, Texas.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a couture design by Allure of ivory lace over silk satin. The deep V neckline was edged in scalloped lace and accented at the waist with a champagne satin sash. Satin-covered buttons cascaded from the deep V back of the gown, ending in a scalloped edge hemline and chapel length train. The bride wore a fingertip length veil. She carried a bouquet of white peonies, blue hydrangea, white freesia and garden roses.
The bouquet was accented with a monogrammed silk ribbon.
Sisters of the bride Melanie Scott, of Ruston, and Mary Katherine Scott, of Livingston, Texas, served as maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Courtney Wall, of Austin, Texas, Casey Wall, of Austin, Texas, Brittany Whitacre, of Dallas, Emily Henry, of Baton Rouge, and Katey Coates of Dallas. Deanna White of Jackson, Miss., read scripture.
William Kettler, of Austin, Texas, served as best man. Groomsmen were Jared Salvato, of College Station, Texas, Nuno Vasconcellos, Jason Jolly, Scott Knepper and Kyle Kephart, all of Austin, Texas, and Rob North of Detroit, Mich. Ushers were Joey Saladino, Conner Williford and Mike McDonald, all of Houston, and Matthew McDonald, of Fort Worth, Texas.
Jodi Williams, Margie Hearn, Barbara Washington, and Kati and Mickey Davis provided music for the ceremony. Caryl Scriber served as wedding coordinator.
Following the six o’clock ceremony, a reception was held at The Norton Building. Food was provided by Bill Cox and KaCee’s Sugar and Spice Catering. The wedding cakes were made by Nancy Whittenburg and served by Faith Alexander, Shirley Crump, Pam Walpole and Mable Best. Carren Craft of Nora’s Flowers decorated both the church and the reception. The photographer for the evening was Kevin Hawkins, and music for the reception was provided by Principal Entertainment.

A wedding shower was held on March 27 in Ruston at Temple Baptist Church. Serving as hostesses were Faith Alexander, Lori Braddock, Brenda Brister, Denise Cox, Lisa Mangum, Sherri Pearce, Stephanie Sisemore, Mariam Stone, Karen Taylor, Pam Walpole and Cindy Wilday.
A lingerie shower and bachelorette weekend was held on April 15-16 in Jackson, Miss., at the home of Emily Henry. Serving as hostesses were Molly Poole, April McDonald, Emily Henry and Melanie Scott.
A linen shower was held on April 30 in Jackson, Miss., at the home of Ashley Maddux. Serving as hostesses were Rebecca McCarty, Ashley Maddux and Deanna White.
A bachelor weekend was held March 11-15 in Gulf Shores, Ala. Hosts were the groomsmen and ushers.
A rehearsal dinner hosted by the parents of the groom was held at 102 a Bistro on May 20.
After a honeymoon in Crescent Beach, Maine, the couple will reside in Dallas.
