Mike and Sandy Hogan are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching wedding of their daughter, Laura Nicole Hogan, of Choudrant, to Alan William Katzenmeyer, of Vicksburg, Miss.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Lorena Hogan, Bob and Billie Hogan, of Choudrant, and Clinton and Janice Hammons, of Choudrant.
Laura is a 2005 alumna of Choudrant High School and a 2009 alumna of Louisiana Tech University. She is currently attending Mississippi College School of Law. While a student at Tech, she served as president of the Student Government Association. She is currently on the Moot Court Board and Law Review at Mississippi College School of Law and serves as Casenote/Comment editor for the Law Review.

The groom is the son of Mike and Shelia Katzenmeyer of Vicksburg, Miss. He is the grandson of Bill and Jeannette Berry, Hardy and Margaret Katzenmeyer and Sandra Melsheimer, all of Vicksburg. Alan is a 2006 alumnus of Warren Central High School, of Vicksburg.
He is a 2010 alumnus of Louisiana Tech University, where he is pursuing a Master of Science in biology. Alan served as vice president of Delta Chi Fraternity and chief of staff of the Student Government Association. He is employed as a contractor at Bowhead Science and Technology for the United States Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center, Environmental Laboratory.

The couple plan to marry in a 3 p.m. ceremony on June 4 at First Baptist Church Ruston. A reception will follow at Lincoln Hall.
