Sparta bills pass House
Opponents of the bill argued that rotating the meeting would mean less attendance in those parishes where there is little use of the aquifer.
Opponents also contend the Sparta Commission is being singled out with legislation that directly affects its operation. Other commissions throughout the state are not affected by this legislation and are allowed to select their own domicile without political influence.
Those supporting the bill claim the revolving meeting allows more people to become involved.
