A Ruston man was arrested for allegedly selling marijuana early Wednesday after officers reportedly found more than 20 bags of the drug in his pockets at a local playground.
Ladara O’Shay Moore, 23, 710 Second Ave., was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and introduction of a controlled substance into a penal facility for the incident. According to his arrest affidavit, officers spotted Moore at the Ruston Housing Authority playground off of McAllister Street around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Louisiana Tech student-athlete Noah Riché, a javelin thrower on the track and field team, passed away Friday afternoon.
Riché, 22, was about to enter his fifth year at Louisiana Tech. He was involved in an automobile accident heading towards Ruston from Mt. Ida, Arkansas where he was working at Camp Ozark, a Christian children’s camp. He was on his way to Ruston to depart for a mission trip to El Salvador.
