Herold, McIntyre unite in marriage
Michelle Elizabeth Herold, of Monroe, and William Andrew McIntyre, of Ruston, were married in a 6 p.m. ceremony on Saturday at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Curt Presley and the Rev. Rolly Walker.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles William Herold III, of Monroe. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. James R. Wolff, of Monroe, and the late Dr. James R. Wolff, the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles William Herold, Jr., of Natchez, Miss.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Monroe McIntyre, of Ruston. He is the grandson of Mrs. William V. Steed and the late William V. Steed, and Mr. and Mrs. Edwin R. McIntyre, of Winnsboro.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an exquisite gown designed by Vera Wang of New York. The strapless gown featured a Basque waist made of Lyon and Chantilly lace. The appliquéd keyhole delicate bodice is surrounded by a breathtaking French tulle ball gown skirt. The romantic gown was accented with an elegant crushed velvet ribbon. The bride wore a two-tiered cathedral length veil, and she wore a pair of beautiful diamond and pearl earrings, given to her by the groom as a wedding gift. She carried a formal bouquet of white peonies from Israel, stems exposed, wrapped with ivory satin ribbon. She also carried with the bouquet an antique linen handkerchief from a French monastery that was hand embroidered with her initials and the wedding date in blue by her dear family friend, Cindy Smith.
The maid of honor was Natolie Herold, of Monroe, and the matron of honor was Joanna Dugdale, of Ruston. Bridesmaids were Catherine Dorroh, of Shreveport, Caroline Perry, of Palos Verdes Estates, Calif., Mary Ann Pennington, of Pontotoc, Miss., Anna Laura Young, of Jackson, Miss., Alyssa Lake, of Gulf Breeze, Fla., Bess Walker, of Mandeville, and Anna Kate Watson, of Monroe. Junior bridesmaids were Mary Elizabeth Barnes, of Monroe, Allyson Gsell, of Houston, Julia Gsell, of Houston, and Camille Perry, of Palos Verdes Estates, Calif.
The bridesmaids wore full-length strapless bobinette over lame’ Vera Wang dresses in blossom pink. The junior bridesmaid dresses, also by Vera Wang, were a strapless knee length blossom pink. Both bridesmaids and junior bridesmaids carried stems of Esperance roses and Gardener’s Rhapsody tulips mixed with pink heather and white Viburnam, wrapped in pale pink satin.
Best men for the ceremony were William McIntyre, of Ruston, and Corey May, of Ruston. Groomsmen were Bryan Moore, of Ruston, Jonathan Owens, of Ruston, Jason Smith, of Ruston, Josh Perot, of Ruston, Charles Herold IV, of Monroe, Bartlett Dugdale, of Ruston, and Thomas Graham, of Ruston.
Ushers for the ceremony were Ross Smith, of Ruston, Matthew Graham, of Ruston, Christopher Lowery, of Hattiesburg, Miss., and Jordan Pearson, of Bossier City.
Flower girls for the ceremony were Anna Katherine Barnes, of Monroe, and Georgia Dugdale, of Ruston.
Ring bearers for the ceremony were Hart and Brown Snyder, of Shreveport.
Maggie Melancon, of Shreveport, was a scripture reader for the ceremony, while Lauren Sandling, of Crystal Springs, Miss., and Caitlin Prince, of Ruston, served as candle lighters.
A reception was held at Squire Creek Country Club where Harmon Drew Super Group provided music for the event.
The rehearsal dinner was held at Bayou Desiard Country Club on Friday. The dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. William McIntyre.

A Fiesta Dinner Welcome to Monroe was held March 31 at the Residence Inn in Monroe. It was hosted by Jawan Keeth and Kathy Rasberry.
A Bridesmaid Luncheon was held April 1 at Bayou Desiard Country Club. It was hosted by Cindy Barnes, Marcia Gsell, Linda Perry, Susan Snyder, Pat Wolff and Suzanne Wolff.
A Golf Tournament for Groom and Groomsmen was held April 1 at Squire Creek Country Club. It was hosted by Marcia and George Gsell (aunt and uncle of the bride).
The couple are taking a honeymoon to Little Palm Island in Little Torch Key, Fla. The couple will reside in Ruston.
