Education must continue improvement

The parish scored out at 94.3, up from 90.4 a year ago. That score placed Lincoln Parish as the 24th-highest rated district, out of 68 in the state.

While the improvement shows progress is being made, our parish’s education system must continue to make positive strides. The 94.3 rating put the parish near the top of schools labeled “two stars”; however, 14 districts rated out at three stars.

While Lincoln Parish’s educational system is considerably ahead of Union, Claiborne and Bienville parishes, it is also lagging behind neighbors Ouachita Parish and Jackson Parish.
