Milner, Hearne exchange vows
Bethany Renea Milner, of Choudrant, and Jacob Ryan Hearne, of Ruston, were married in 6 p.m. ceremony on March 5 at Douglas United Methodist Church.
The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Reginald Colvin.
The bride is the daughter of Bobby and Barbara Milner, of Choudrant. She is the granddaughter of JoAnn Pilcher, of Choudrant, and the late Bobby M. Milner, Billyee Hogan, of Choudrant, and the late L.C. Hogan.
The groom is the son of Scott and Shelly Hearne, of Ruston. He is the grandson of David Hearne, of Lafayette, and the late Shirley Hearne, Merlyne Meche, of Opelousas, and the late Dale Meche.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless ivory gown with an empire waistline and a semi-chapel train. The strapless neckline had hand-embroidered designs and crystals on the bodice and the tulle bottom of the dress. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of white hydrangeas, ivory roses, white freesia, ivory stick and white wax flowers embellished with black feathers bound with a red satin ribbon.
The matron of honor was Jodi Perritt, of Choudrant. Bridesmaids were Sarah Hearne, of Ruston, Kelly Frasier, of Choudrant, Kimberly Milner, of Choudrant, Hannah Hearne, of Ruston, and Emily Hearne, of Ruston. The bridesmaids wore black chiffon and charmeuse floor length dresses. Their bouquets were hand tied with black baccarra roses, red alstromeria, red tea roses and red coffee bean bound with black satin ribbon.
Callen Owens, of Ruston, served as best man for the ceremony. Groomsmen were Brett Pettijohn, of Ruston, Luke Fraley, of Ruston, Mark Wood, of Ruston, Brandon Milner, of Choudrant, and David Hearne, of Ocean Side, Calif.
Ushers for the ceremony were Justin Zachry, of Choudrant, Daniel Allen, of Ruston, and Brandon Smith, of Opelousas.
Emma Milner, of Choudrant, Carley Harrell, of Donaldsonville, and Bailey Smith, of Opelousas, all served as flower girls for the ceremony. Ring bearer for the ceremony was Blake Nunn.
Music for the wedding ceremony was provided by Cody Chandler on the piano.
Following the wedding ceremony, a reception was held at Calverts Crossing Golf Course. The reception was catered by Kacee’s Sugar and Spice.
On the night before the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Student Center.
The couple will make their home in Choudrant.
