The Lincoln Parish Narcotics Enforcement Team and Grambling Police Department served warrants to two individuals on Wednesday.
Bobbie G. Pruitt, 56, of 148 Murline Street in Grambling, was reportedly arrested without incident on warrants for three counts of distribution of cocaine. Bond has been set at 44,750.
Yancy Yarnell Bradford, 21, of 387 South Pine Tree Road in Grambling, was arrested on warrants for two counts distribution of marijuana and two counts distribution of alprazolam, as well as for one count possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute (three pounds). Bond has been set at $66,760, with bond to be set on the last charge.
Kindergarteners at Glen View have been working very hard and learning so many new concepts in math and reading. Look out first-grade teachers. We are enjoying reading from our leveled readers and learning how to blend words together and sound out words so we will be more fluent readers. We have also been learning about many different winter animals as we read many different books about this topic. We are looking forward to celebrating our 100 days of school in kindergarten. Wow, we are 100 days smarter.
The Choudrant Volunteer Firemen’s Association group will now have a little help from the Village of Choudrant with clerical duties.
During the May meeting on Monday night, the board of aldermen voted unanimously to enter into a cooperative agreement with the nonprofit group that works to raise funds for the volunteer fire department.
Mayor Bill Sanderson, who is also the CFD chief, told aldermen that the association has been vital to the fire department.
Jenna Carpenter, associate dean of administration and strategic initiatives and professor of mathematics in Louisiana Tech University’s College of Engineering and Science, has been invited to present an overview on the Grand Challenge Scholars Program to the board of the American Association of Engineering Societies (AAES.)
