Sleep clinic saves lives — in more ways than one
Perhaps this calls for more of an explanation.
For years I’ve been a snorer. Not just a sometimes snorer, but a full-fledged seven days a week jackhammer-sounding snorer who kept neighbors awake at night and confused shift workers into leaving work early at the paper mill in West Monroe.
I was very loud. Toward the end of my military career, I was not allowed to deploy to the field. My commander was afraid my snoring would bring the enemy right to our location.
