The Wayne family can say something not many people will ever get to say — that they are in the Guinness Book of World Records.
The family was notified two months ago that their bid would be included in the Guinness Book of World Records. Of the 86 family members that attended Grambling State University, 40 graduates were accepted.
The official record was the “Largest Family to Attend the Same University.”
The family was honored last weekend in Dallas, complete with a professional photo shoot.

Residents who live in the area South of California Street were probably at least a little surprised to have fire fighters and other community members knocking on their doors on a sunny Saturday afternoon. The southern part of Ruston has been on the community service radar of local organizations for a while now because of the work by students at the Louisiana Tech University School of Architecture, who have lovingly dubbed the area SOCA and were also on hand to help out Saturday.
