Parish gets new mobile command post
Homeland Security grant funds were available and could have led to interagency squabbling. Instead, the various agencies discussed what was best for the parish and decided to invest $58,000 in a state-of-the-art mobile command center, Ruston Police Patrol Commander Capt. Bill Davis said.
“Once its online, we can use it anytime,” Davis said. “We’re taking all of our radio equipment out of the old one and remounting it in the new unit. The new unit will be open to any law enforcement agency, fire department, and emergency responder in the parish.”
