Funeral services for James W. “Buck” Duke, 75, of Dubach, LA will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at the Mineral Springs Baptist Church. Bro. Greg Tipton will officiate the service. Interment will follow in the Mineral Springs Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.

Memorial services for Mr. John Earl Sanderson, age 67 of Choudrant, will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, August 29, 2011 at Longstraw Baptist Church. Rev. Larry Emory will officiate. A private interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Choudrant.
John Earl was born Sept. 19, 1943 in Choudrant to the union of Edgar and Lille Beatrice Thrasher Sanderson. He was in the auto body repair business and a member of Longstraw Baptist Church. John Earl loved rodeos, gardening, going to Bonnie & Clyde and spending time with family, especially his grandson.

Funeral services for Rev. Louis Bernard Canterbury, age 80, will be held Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 2:00 PM in Central Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Dale Strother and Rev. Lavell Spillers officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Arcadia, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.
Visitation will be held at Central Baptist Church on Saturday beginning at 12:00 PM and extending until service time.

Funeral services for April Annette Warren Graves, 40, of Choudrant, LA will be at 2 PM,
Saturday, August 27, 2011, at South Parkway Church, 3000 S. Vienna, Ruston, LA. Rev.
Dallas Witt will officiate. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Ruston,
under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM,
Friday, August 26, 2011, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, 209 N. Bonner in Ruston.
April was born in Oceanside, CA on June 24, 1971, and passed away on August 23, 2011, following a too short battle with cancer.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Graveside Service at Pisgah Cemetery in Bernice, LA at 5:00 PM on Saturday, August 27, 2011 for Dan Copeland, 71, who passed away peacefully Monday, August 22, 2011 at the Bernice Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Reverend Monroe Copeland will officiate the service.

James Robert Sumlin, Sr. was born in Simsboro, Louisiana on Sept. 12, 1927 and passed away in Ruston August 20, 2011 at 83 years of age. He graduated from Simsboro High School and attended Louisiana Tech University and Centenary College. He was in the furniture upholstering business for over 50 years in Shreveport and Ruston.
Mr. Sumlin was the oldest living past Master of the Caddo Masonic Lodge, member of the Toastmasters’ Club of Shreveport, and past President of the Ruston Rotary Club. He enjoyed playing dominoes with his domino group and enjoyed working on machinery.

Funeral services for Herbert C. Huebner, age 90, of Ruston will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Paul McComack will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in Pines Memorial Gardens in Ruston under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.
Mr. Huebner was a member of the Lutheran Faith. He served in the U. S. Air Force and was a Veteran of World War II. Mr. Huebner is preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Huebner and daughter, Karen Vrechek.

Ila Ray Kemp Cooper Of New Braunfels, Texas, formerly of Baker, Louisiana, went to be with her Lord on August 14, 2011. With her family by her side, and following a surgery and lingering illness, she passed away in Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in New Braunfels under the direction of Hope Hospice.
Memorial Service for family and friends will be held on August 27, 2011 at First United Methodist Church in Baker, Louisiana at 1:00 p.m. with visitation following. The Reverend Gene Rives, pastor and friend, will officiate her memorial.
