Jimmie Richardson

Funeral services for Jimmie Richardson, age 52, of Ruston, LA will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 27, 2011 at Temple Baptist Church. Officiating the service will be Jeff Roberts and Reagan Colvin. Interment will follow at 4:30 PM on Sunday in New Zion Cemetery in Winnsboro, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. Mr. Richardson was born May 18, 1958 and passed away February 23, 2011. Mr. Richardson was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Vienna and worked for Texas Gas Transmission for over 25 years.

Warner Keith Brown

Warner Keith Brown, God’s faithful servant, was touched by the angel of death on Wednesday, February 22, 2011 at approximately 4:00 p.m. Warner, son of Mrs. Jean G. Brown and the late John F. Brown, Sr., was the youngest of three children, born September 19, 1959, in Columbia, LA. Warner was baptized in the catholic church at a very young age. He was very active at St. Benedict Catholic Church all through his adolescence years as well as his adult years. When Warner moved to Shreveport, LA he united with Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

Dorothy Maudine Patterson

Funeral services for Mrs. Eugene Patterson (Dorothy Maudine Patterson), 86, of Farmerville will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, February 25, 2011 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville with Bro. Woodrow Hudson officiating. Graveside service will be held at Liberty Hill Taylor Cemetery with Bro. Connie Smith officiating. A life long residence of Union Parish Mrs. Patterson was born in Farmerville June 29, 1924 to Ben & Neita Rogers. Mrs. Patterson died following a brief illness at LSU Hospital in Shreveport February 22, 2011. Mrs.

Funeral services for Mr. Donald Eugene Crume will be held on February 26, 2011, 2:00 P.M. at Owens Memorial Chapel in Ruston, LA. with Dr. Chris Craig and Bro. Stan Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel.
Donald Eugene Crume was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, on December 6, 1933, to John and Myrtle Hedges Crume. He passed away February 22, 2011, at the age of 77, in Ruston, Louisiana, with his wife and children by his side after a lengthy illness.

Era Cox Wade

Era Cox Wade, 98, died in Mobile, AL on January 17, 2011. She was born in 1912 in Avinger, Texas, to Pearl Anna Claude and Elvin Floyd Cox. She was a devoted wife and mother, a skilled homemaker, an avid reader, an enthusiastic gardener, and a faithful church member. Her sunny outlook on life endeared her to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 61 years, Roy M. Wade, Sr.; her son, Roy M. Wade, Jr.; her grandson, William C. Culp, Jr; her brothers, Claude and Carl Cox, her sister, Nell Cox, and her grandson, William C. Culp, Jr.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Mae Edmiston Roach, age 79 of Ruston will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Dr. Michael Hawley officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ruston under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston. Mrs. Roach was born May 26, 1931 in Ruston to Benjamin Mobley and Gertie Otwell Mobley.  She died February 12, 2011 at her home after a courageous battle with Altzheimer’s disease.  Mrs. Roach worked in the administration offices at Lincoln General Hospital for many years.

James "Jim" Alan Rentz

James "Jim" Alan Rentz was born August 1, 1933. He went home to be with the Lord on February 14, 2011 at home surrounded by his family. He was a native of Ruston. He was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War. Jim is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sarah Taylor Rentz; sons, Alan Rentz of Baton Rouge, David Rentz (Anita) of Chantilly, VA, and daughter, Dee Ann Parvino (Troy) of Mobile, Alabama. He was blessed with seven grandchildren: Jeffery Rentz, Andrew, Emily and Rachel Parvino; Taylor, Kendra and Grafton Rentz. Jim had a passion for writing spiritual poetry.

Funeral services for Mrs. Josephine Aledia “Jo” Johnson Willis, 66, will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 7 p.m. in New Zion Baptist Church of Eunice, Rev. Allen Ben - Pastor. Burial will be in Eunice North Cemetery in Eunice. Rev. James Proctor, pastor of First Church of God In Christ of Jeanerette, will be officiating the funeral services. Mrs. Willis died on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 in Ruston, La. She was a member of Miracle Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Superintendent Thomas Kennedy.

Interment will follow at Grambling Memorial Gardens, Grambling, Louisiana. The family will receive friends at Our Christain Funeral Home on Friday, February 11, 6:00-8:00p.m. Bill Riley was the 3rd oldest child born to the late Emmanuel and Mandy Huey Riley on March 19, 1935 in Bienville Parish.

Margie May Lyons, 77, passed away February 3, 2011 at Glenwood Medical Center.  The funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, February 12, 2011, 2:30 P.M. at Mt. Zion BC #2, Dubach, LA.  Pastor E. C. Morgan will officiate.  Interment will follow at the Mt. Zion BC Cemetery under the direction of Kings Funeral Home, Ruston, LA. On Thursday, February 3, 2011 God saw a need for one of his glorious creations and dispatched one of his angels to the bedside of Margie May Lyons with the command  “Well Done thou good and faithful servant, come home to rest from your labor.
