Funeral services for Nena Baker Barnwell, 99, of Ruston, LA will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 14, 2011 at Grace United Methodist Church with Rev. Hulen Warren officiating the service. Interment will follow in Wilder Cemetery in Ruston, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Mrs. Barnwell was born in Jena, LA on August 11, 1911 and died on March 11, 2011 in Ruston, LA.  She was a Charter member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Women’s Circle at Grace.  Mrs.

Jenny McDonald

Jenny McDonald, our Angel on Earth, left this world to join the angels in Heaven on March 7, 2011. She was a blessing to everyone who met her. Jenny was a nurse at North Monroe Hospital before becoming a nurse practitioner. Jenny was a loving caregiver whose only concern was her “little patients” as she called them. She loved everybody, and everyone loved her. Her life was devoted to taking care of her family, friends, and patients. Jenny grew up in Winnsboro, LA. She moved to Monroe in 1987 to continue her nursing career, which eventually spanned 28 years.

Wallace S. Harrison, a resident of Lincoln Parish passed away at his home on March 5th, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 9th, 2011 at Temple Baptist church in Ruston, With Rev. Dale Oden officiating. Burial will follow in St. Rest Cemetery in Dubach under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston. Mr. Harrison was born and raised in the Crossroads Community in northwest Lincoln Parish and was the oldest of the two sons of Andy and Vera Harrison.

Funeral services for David M. Owen, 77, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Gene Gibson, Rev. Jessie Colston, and Rev. Mr. Owen was born June 21, 1933 in Bernice, LA; and passed away March 5, 2011 in Bossier City, LA. He was a retired T/Sgt. with the U.S.

Gerald Billy Carlisle, born in Atlanta, Texas on May 7, 1926, passed away at the age of 84 on March 4, 2011, after a brief stay at the Northwest Louisiana War Veterans Home in Bossier City, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Catherine Carmichael Carlisle, his parents Walter Luther and Daisy Pauline Carlisle, his seven older sisters, and his older brother.

Archie W. Craig

Funeral services for Archie W. Craig, 88, of Ruston, LA will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Hilbun officiating the service assisted by Rev. Rolly Walker.  Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Archie was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was a member of Hale Memorial Bible Class.  He served in The United States Army Corp. and was a veteran of World War II.

Mr. Wills was born April 28, 1945 and passed away February 27, 2011. He was a member of Rocky Valley Baptist Church in Simsboro, LA.

Douglas King Murphy (83) of Palatine, IL died Wednesday, February 16, 2011 after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1680 1st Street Arcadia, LA 71001 on Saturday, March 5, 2011. There will be a time of visitation from 10:00-11:30 am. A short service will follow & then a graveside service. Douglas was born on January 13, 1928 in Arcadia, LA. His parents were the late Wiley King and Beatrice Cathey Murphy. Douglas graduated from Arcadia High School in 1945.

Funeral services for Jimmie Richardson, age 52, of Ruston, LA will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 27, 2011 at Temple Baptist Church. Officiating the service will be Jeff Roberts and Reagan Colvin. Interment will follow at 4:30 PM on Sunday in New Zion Cemetery in Winnsboro, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. Mr. Richardson was born May 18, 1958 and passed away February 23, 2011. Mr. Richardson was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Vienna and worked for Texas Gas Transmission for over 25 years.

Warner Keith Brown

Warner Keith Brown, God’s faithful servant, was touched by the angel of death on Wednesday, February 22, 2011 at approximately 4:00 p.m. Warner, son of Mrs. Jean G. Brown and the late John F. Brown, Sr., was the youngest of three children, born September 19, 1959, in Columbia, LA. Warner was baptized in the catholic church at a very young age. He was very active at St. Benedict Catholic Church all through his adolescence years as well as his adult years. When Warner moved to Shreveport, LA he united with Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
