Emma Bayne Snipe

Funeral service for Mrs. Emma Bayne Snipe, age 90, of Ruston, will be held at Kilpatrick Funeral Home on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 2:00 PM. The visitation will precede the funeral from noon to 2:00 PM on the same Thursday. Officiating the service will be Rev. Larry Emory of Long Straw Baptist Church. Mrs. Snipe was born January 8, 1920 and passed away December 27, 2010 after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gus Snipe; infant son: Willie Noel; parents: W.O Bayne and Beulah McCullin Bayne.

Lottie Jerro Green

Lottie Jerro Green was born to the late Zelia Griffin Jerro and Emeal Jerro in Downsville, La. on August 27, 1925. She was the youngest of nine children. All preceeded her in death except a sister Essie Patterson of Colfax, La. She was a faithful member of the New Rocky Valley Baptist Church of Grambling, La. She graduated from Grambling State University. She was a dedicated member of the Epsilon Psi Omega Chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.

Marie Martin Raburn

Funeral services for Marie Martin Raburn, age 64, of Ruston, LA will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at University Baptist Church in Ruston with Rev. Jackie Hightower officiating the service.  Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery in Quitman, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Mrs.

Faye Holbrook Hinton

Funeral Services for Faye Holbrook Hinton will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Grace United Methodist Church, Ruston with Dr. Wayne Evans and Rev. Hulen Warren officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Ruston under the direction of John Kramer & Son. Faye Holbrook Hinton, 94, of Alexandria, formerly of Ruston passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2010. Mrs. Hinton was a native of Smith County, Mississippi. She graduated from Polkville High School and attended the University of Southern Mississippi where she received her teaching certificate.

Mary A. Caldwell

Funeral services for Mary A. Caldwell, 72, of Choudrant, LA will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Choudrant, LA with Bro. Brad Jones officiating the service.  Interment will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Choudrant under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, LA. Mrs. Caldwell was born in Monroe, LA on December 14, 1938 and died on December 25, 2010 in Choudrant, LA.  She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Choudrant, LA. She is survived by her husband, Raymond S. Caldwell Sr.

Larry Gossler

Memorial service for Larry Gossler, 68, of Dubach will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel  under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.  Bro. Rick Williams will officiate the service. Mr. Gossler was born on June 9, 1942 in Pavo, GA and died on December 25, 2010 in Dubach, LA.  He served in the U. S. Army 82nd Airborne Division.  Mr. Gossler was retired from Rockwell International as an electrical engineer. He is survived by his wife, Luz B. Gossler of Dubach, LA; son, Larry B. Gossler, Jr.

J. Edwin Carothers

J. Edwin Carothers passed from this life Monday, December 20th, 2010. He was born March 26th, 1916, in Doddridge County, WV, son of Joseph and Lilly Smith Carothers, who preceded him in death.  “Ed” graduated with a B.S. in Forestry and a M.F. from the University of Michigan, a M.S. in Agricultural Economics from Iowa State University, and a Ph. D from Michigan State University.  Dr. Carothers retired from Louisiana Tech University in July of 1986 after teaching there for more than 20 years. He and Susan Nickell of Hazel Green, KY, were married June 18th, 1944. They had two children: James L.

Tassie Chipmon Castle

Funeral services for Mrs. Tassie Chipmon Castle, age 86 of Dubach, will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Owens Memorial Chapel in Ruston with Rev. Leroy Skipper and Rev. Jimmy Barmore officiating.  Burial will follow in Longstraw Cemetery near Choudrant under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston. Mrs. Castle was born December 1, 1924 in Winnsboro to William Ellis Chipmon and Annie Mae Brown Chipmon.  She died December 20, 2010 in Ruston.  She was a member of The Pentecostals of Ruston.

Thomas Lane Howell, Sr.

Funeral services will be held for Thomas Lane Howell, Sr., 50, at Rose-Neath Home Chapel, on Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Sammy Bozeman will officiate with Rev. Donnie Underwood assisting. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. The interment will follow at the Corinth Cemetery. Thomas was born October 26, 1960, in Homer, LA, to Thomas Glenn and Nancy Williams Howell. He entered into rest on December 18, 2010, at his residence. Thomas was a member of the Kings Court United Pentecostal Church in Ruston.

Autumn Wyatt Henderson

Funeral services for Autumn Wyatt Henderson will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at North Hodge Assembly of God Church in North Hodge, LA., at 2p.m. Rev. Chris Witt, Rev. Hayward Hossler and Rev. Phil Middleton will be officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery Ward-10, near Goldonna. Visitation will be on held on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at North Hodge Assembly of God from 4-9p.m. Autumn was born on November 27, 1982. She passed away on December 19, 2010. She was 28. Autumn was a beloved daughter, sister, wife and teacher.
