Genevieve “Genny” Helen Kapp Ireland

The life of Genevieve “Genny” Helen Kapp Ireland, 90, mother of Ruston resident Monty Ireland, will be celebrated Tuesday morning at the Jonesboro United Methodist Church in a 10 a.m. funeral service.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Edmonds Funeral Home, 228 Allen Ave., in Jonesboro.

Funeral services for Annie N Lyles Williams, 80, will be held at 1 pm , Saturday at Fellowship Baptist Church in Simsboro, Louisiana. Officiating will be Reverend Frederick Powell. Interment will follow in Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 1 pm- 7pm, Friday, May 10,2013 at King's Funeral Home, Ruston, Louisiana.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Edmiston Bartlett, age 88 of Ruston, will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 10, 2013 at Owens Memorial Chapel in Ruston. Officiating the service will be Rev. Larry Emory. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.

Chad Edward Simmons

Chad Edward Simmons, 42, passed away April 30, 2013. A memorial service was held May 4, 2013 at Griffin Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA. He was born November 16, 1970, Belle Chase, LA to Gaylon D. Simmons and Gloria Annette Turner.

Funeral services for Maxine Lynch, 91, will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Rose-Neath’s Southside Chapel in Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Bob Moore. Interment will follow in Forest Park St. Vincent Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Maxine was born on November 18, 1921 in Vernon, LA to Ella and Henry Bennett. She passed away on May 3, 2013 at Abundant Life Care Home in Fountain Lake, AR.

Kay Terry

Kay Terry, 73, of Ruston, Louisiana, passed away May 5, 2013 of complications associated with alzheimers disease and dementia.

Kay was born October 8, 1939 in Perry County, Arkansas. She was a graduate of Ruston High School and attended Louisiana Tech. She retired from Wal-Mart Stores Inc. in 2003.

Ester Faye Coleman Roberts

A Memorial Service for Ester Faye Coleman Roberts, 73, of Dubach, will be held at Owen's Memorial Chapel Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00pm, Tuesday, May 7, 2013.

Mrs. Roberts was born March 18, 1940 in Simsboro, LA and passed away May 3, 2013 in Dubach, LA.

She is proceeded in death by her parents Ester Lee Hood and Buddy Coleman; son: Carl Causey; daughter: Kimberly Pope; grandson: Bobby Ray Causey III, and granddaughter: Carla Causey.

Fred (Freddy) Dalton Taft

Fred (Freddy) Dalton Taft was born July 28th, 1947 in Atlanta, Texas, and went to be with his Lord on May 1, 2013, in Plano, Texas, after a brief illness. He was a proud Veteran of the US Army and served his country as a Military Police, 1st Infantry, Division Big Red One in Vietnam from 1968-1969. To add to his honorable discharge in 1970, a recent interview of his military experience is on permanent display at the United States Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.

James Henry Alexander, 88, of Russellville, AR, went home to be with his Lord Monday, April 29, 2013. The son of Frances and Ella Alexander, he was born November 4, 1924 in Ruston, LA. He honorably served in WWII on the USS Princeton Independence Class Aircraft Carrier and U.S.S. Bremerton Heavy Crusier. After returning from the war he married the love of his life for 65 years, Blanche Fetterolf. In 1972 they moved from Ruston, LA to Russellville where he was a farmer.

Don R. Frazier

A memorial services will be held for Don R. Frazier, 83, at the Rocky Springs Baptist Church in Lisbon, on Monday April 29, 2013 at 12 Noon with Rev. David Peterson and Rev. Larry Sellers officiating.

Mr. Frazier was born September 15, 1929 to Leroy and Lanell Frazier. He entered into rest Thursday April 25, 2013 in Shreveport. Mr. Frazier attended the Rocky Springs Baptist Chruch. He retired from the Air Force after 23 years service.
