Juneteenth fun boils near to its end

GRAMBLING — The weather was sweltering, but that didn’t stop people from having good times Saturday as the town of Grambling held its annual Juneteenth celebration at Memorial Park behind the City Hall building.
Grambling State University football coach Doug Williams headed the Juneteenth Parade as Grand Marshal before an estimated 1,000 people stretched out between the park and the antique and specialized car show going on across the street from City Hall at the old Sonic restaurant.
