Parents will have to send a little extra lunch money along with their children when school begins again in the fall.
At last week’s regularly scheduled meeting of the Lincoln Parish School Board, members voted unanimously to raise all regular-priced meals by 25 cents.
Doris Marzett, child nutrition supervisor, brought the issue before the board because of the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010, which becomes effective July 1.
