Two booked in meth lab bust

Two Ruston men are in jail after they were allegedly found with a mobile methamphetamine lab in the back of their truck Wednesday morning.
Police reports indicate that cousins John Jeffrey Bradshaw Jr., 30, of 133 Owens Road, and Michael Scott Bradshaw Jr., 26, of Owens Road, were arrested Wednesday on drug charges.
Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Deputy Dennis Penuell was on his way to work when he spotted a blue pickup truck on the shoulder of Strickland Road off of Louisiana Highway 821.

Ex-FHS player arrested

Rotary club names December students

The Ruston Rotary Club proudly announces the recipients of the December Student of the Month Award. Recognized by Rotarian Jathan Maricelli, each student was honored at the Dec. 8 luncheon and presented an award of achievement by club president Andy Halbrook. Each awardee has maintained a minimum GPA of 3.5 and been active in extra curricular activities and leadership roles on their respective school campus.

Rehab key to winning war on drugs

It happens all too often.
A person starts using drugs, commits a crime either while under the influence or to get money to support the addiction, and then lands in jail. After a few months sober in the slammer, the person may be singing a different tune. They anticipate that when they are released, it will be a new beginning — one where drugs are a thing of the past and new goals and life ambitions are formed.
