Dispatch from Afghanistan: Confronting the enemy

It has been an interesting month. The Afghan corps headquarters decided to move the Afghan army battalion we have been working with since November and replace them with another battalion from farther south. Tech students design Downsville pavilion

Architecture student Jaymes Hanus detailed the group’s intention to design the pavilion and bathroom facility in a way that cooperates with its surroundings.
The plan calls for the meeting space to overlook the park’s lake, and the building will be raised off the ground slightly to allow water to flow freely underneath for drainage into the low points around it. Grads set to take first steps

Reading, writing and arithmetic were the special everyone ordered once upon a time at a dining table long, long ago. It was the final lap in the educational pool for some, and the first leg of the relay for others.

Parents, this is where you come in.
You are sure to be understandably proud of your student, and will want to let them have a good time on their last night together with some of their friends bound for different places and headed down different paths.
Don’t let our next generation of college students and community leaders walk out the door to your home for that post-graduation party without impressing upon them the importance of not making bad choices.
