Bulldogs host Hawaii tonight

“Magnum came through big for us and that’s what we need out of everybody and in every game,” said second-year coach Rupp. “He just had a terrific game and came to play every single minute. We just need to have that kind of game out of everybody. We need everybody on the same page. It’s about everybody contributing.”
That’s what Rupp and his staff will be looking for tonight when the Bulldogs (8-12, 2-5) begin a two-game WAC series.
Tech will face Hawaii (9-10, 1-6) in a 7 p.m. tipoff at the Thomas Assembly Center. On Saturday, San Jose State comes in for a 2 p.m. contest.

Quota highlights what’s special about being a girl

Quota Club’s goal is to provide a quality event that promotes the values of honesty, self-respect and true friendship.
“That is why we chose the American Girl movie to be shown,” Givens said. “It is a wholesome movie about girls from different worlds coming together and developing a lasting friendship.”
After the movie, a tea with light refreshments will be hosted at the Lincoln Parish Museum, where the groups will get a tour.
“There are a lot of people in Ruston who have never stepped foot in the museum,” Givens said. “We wanted to try and enhance their programs there.”
