Techsters host Grambling tonight

“It’s good for the fans in our area,” said Tech coach Chris Long. “It has generated a lot of interest and should be a great atmosphere for basketball fans here.”
Tech stopped Arizona 68-53 at the same time Grambling was a 60-59 winner against Stephen F. Austin.
For the Lady Techsters, it was a critical victory and not just because the Western Athletic Conference member was on a two-game losing streak, their latest setback being a 72-42 loss at Mississippi State University earlier in the week.

Search for answers is painful

Those charges have helped keep McMullen in the news again, most recently as part of a feature story on the America’s Most Wanted Web site. The Fox network television show posted the story, titled “Harrisburg Whodunnit — Missing or Murder?” last week as a “Web exclusive” on its Internet site — www.amw.com/fugitives.
While students and GSU officials are concerned about McMullen, they’re also concerned for her family.

Support groups help the bereaved

The void left by a family member who has passed away can be particularly painful around Christmas time.
The good news is that there is local support for those grieving the death of a loved one.
No matter how long it’s been since the person passed away, those who feel empty, sad, angry or depressed should know they’re not alone.

Capturing Christmas spirit

Referencing the title of the play and the underlying message of the story, the three wise men appear at the beginning and end of the play. Carrying their gifts for the messiah, they watch the star of Bethlehem.
