Tech retention encouraging

But with numbers that show you’re doing the best amongst your peers, you build support outside of Lincoln Parish, where the two universities are a huge part of the community. People love a winner, and Tech is furthering its reputation as a premier institution statewide and nationwide with such success. Myriad factors contribute to graduation retention. Selective admissions certainly doesn’t hurt — bring in the best students who have already demonstrated desire and ability to learn and succeed, and you’re set for positive growth.

4-mill fire tax proposal dies

Juror Roy Glover brought the issue, which was not on the agenda, back up in other business during the Jury’s full meeting at the end of the night. His motion to bring the tax back up died on the floor with no second offered by his peers. Ford shook his head.
“So this issue will not be brought before the voters?” Glover asked.
The floor opened to public comment, and fire district volunteer Don Albrecht told the jury he did not understand.
