MEETING

A regular meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Ruston was held Monday, March 7, 2016, at 5:30 P.M., in Council Chambers/Courtroom, City Hall, 401 North Trenton, Ruston, Louisiana.
A quorum was present, notice having been duly served. Mayor Ronny Walker, Aldermen Jedd Lewis, Jim Pearce and Bruce Siegmund and Alderwomen Carolyn Elmore Cage and Angela Mayfield were present.

April 7th

MEETING

The Village of Simsboro met in regular session on April 4th, 2016 at 6:00 PM.
Council members present were Alderman Joe Reed, Alderman Doug Durrett and Alderman Jerry Davis. Mayor Foster called the meeting to order. Mayor Foster voiced prayer and Alderman Jerry Davis led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Mayor Foster presented the Agenda to the Alderman and asked for a motion to accept as presented. Motion was made to adopt the Agenda by Alderman Jerry Davis and a second by Alderman Doug Durrett. Motion passed.

There will be a public meeting located at (Lincoln Parish Library Events Center, starting at 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 4th, to answer any questions pertaining to this seismic survey.

Aaron, Bradshaw to wed

Alyssa Aaron, of Choudrant, and Jamey Bradshaw, of Choudrant, announce their recent engagement and forthcoming marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Randy and Donna Aaron, of Choudrant.

She is the granddaughter of Larry and Mary Baker, of Choudrant, Sybil Woodard, of Haughton, and the late Bill Aaron. She is the great-granddaughter of Kathleen Baker and the late Davis Baker.

Alyssa is a 2011 graduate of Choudrant High School and a 2015 graduate of Louisiana Tech University.

Frasier, Kennimer to unite

Jeff and Brenda Frasier, of Mineral Springs, announce the recent engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Amy Danyelle Frasier to Darren Kane Kennimer Jr., of Dubach.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Marie Tims, of Choudrant, the late Roy Tims, the late Talmadge Frasier and the late Doris Frasier.

Amy is a graduate of Ruston High School.

The groom is the son of Jan and Jon Clemons, and Darren and Lisa Kennimer.

He is the grandson of Louise Kennimer, of Choudrant, Roland and Kathie Kennimer, of West Monroe, and the late Jimmy Lynn Traylor and Joann Traylor.

Notice is hereby given that Lincoln Parish Police Jury does intend to submit to the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, Office of Environmental Services, Waste Permits Division, an application for a renewal solid waste permit to operate a Type III Construction/Demolition Debris Landfill in Lincoln Parish, Range 2 West, Township 19 North, Section 20, which is approximately 6 miles northeast of the City of Ruston, Louisiana off of Louisiana Highway 33.

Sealed bids for the following project will be received by the Purchasing Department of the City of Ruston, Louisiana, located at Ruston Public Works Complex, Public Works Administration Building, 701 East Tennessee Avenue, Ruston, Louisiana 71270, either by mail or hand delivery, no later than 10:00 A.M. local time on Monday, May 2, 2016 at which time all bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud in the office of the Purchasing Agent. Bids received after the 10:00 A.M. deadline will be returned via certified mail to the bidder unopened.
