Help the LPSB continue to lower dropout rates

Walking across the stage at a graduation ceremony is more than a bit of pomp and circumstance. It is a celebration of the fact that someone has set goals and worked hard to achieve them.
It is isn’t enough to offer our children a good education, we must also ensure that they graduate and learn everything they can while in the system. And, statewide, we’re getting a little better at doing just that.

Getting 'Lost' in life's schedule

Aswell, Taylor.jpg

For the past few weeks, I have been enamored with the television show, “Lost.” My girlfriend, who has seen the series in its entirety, has been trying to get me to watch the show since we started dating, but for some reason I just could not bring myself to watch it.

GRAMBLING — It’s pretty obvious.
The identity of Grambling State University is athletics.
For years, their number one sport has been football.
Year after year, the anxiety and anticipation for a successful GSU football season increase.
Meanwhile, the Tigers’ track and field team, who deserves their fair share of credit, goes overlooked.
