There was a stark contrast between my Dad’s war and mine. They had Rosie the Riveter, rationing coupons, war bonds, Glenn Miller, Bob Hope and Betty Grable. We had Jane Fonda, Mohammed Ali, Abbie Hoffman and Country Joe and the Fish. He had Pearl Harbor, Iwo Jima and ticker tape parades. We had the Tet Offensive, Khe Sanh, Agent Orange, Mi Lai and Cal Berkley.

Funeral services for Curtis J. Lee, age 88, of Ruston will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Ruston, LA. Dr. Andrew Johnson assisted by Dr. Chris Craig of First Baptist Church will be officiating. Interment will follow in Bernice City Cemetery in Bernice, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.
