Public hearing set today

in

The Lincoln Parish School Board will hold a special-called meeting at 6 p.m. tonight in the Ruston High School auditorium.
The only item of business on the agenda is a public hearing to discuss the status of the desegregation litigation. The CDAC team has been working in the area for four years as part of a 20-year community improvement plans the students have envisioned.

If one goes wandering down a country road near Haynesville, and goes far enough into the woods, one might come across Tom Crocker’s Ole Town Farm. That’s exactly what Jerrel Huey and Patsy and Larry Bond did on March 21-24.
They were hosts and invited all the Caney Lake Good Sammers to join them. Everyone enjoyed a brown bag supper together that evening.
The next morning some took a little walk down the road. Larry Bond fried fish for the group.
Of course, there were the side dishes of hush puppies, French fries and cole slaw.
